Frances Kiernan MA FINE ART


Frances Kiernan is a printmaker, photographer, book artist,
typographer and designer. She runs workshops in making
book structures for schools and adult education centres
and is an associate lecturer at Chelsea College of Art.
Her recent work includes community arts projects for
Kensington Palace,
Kew Palace and Kew Gardens providing
workshops in
printmaking and the making of books.

Frances was commissioned to make books in response
to
Princess Caroline's life for the Enchanted Palace exhibition at
Kensington Palace. Her books were exhibited in the Cabinet
of Curiosities.


As a member of the Richmond Printmakers group Frances exhibits
regularly in and around London. Her work is held in collections at
the V&A Museum, Kensington Palace, Prints for Peace Collection in
Mexico and in private collections in the UK and Europe.

Frances originally trained as a typographer and designer
at Ealing School of Art in the mid sixties and worked for many
years as a typographer and art director/editor in advertising
and publishing.
